Here are just a few shots from the antics after last nights 1-0 victory over the Boston Bruins.
The crowds were estimated at over 100,000 at game time and grew well into the night.
We need 1 more win to get the ultimate prize of our first Stanley cup ecer as Vancouver Canucks.

Modern Pentathalon Athletes Monica Pinette, (Langley B.C.) and Kara Grant (Stratford, PEI) share the 3 finger "Peace Plus One" Sustainability Symbol at the Olympic Games in Beijing China.

The modern pentathlon is a five-discipline sport that takes place in a single day. The events are running, swimming, horseback riding, fencing and shooting.

Monica Pinette and Kara Grant are the first Canadian women to ever compete at the Olympics in the modern pentathlon. The women’s event was added to the Olympic program in 2000. They are also the first Canadians in the sport, men or women, since the 1992 Barcelona Games.

My favorite warbird is hands down the Australian Hawker Sea Fury flown by Ellsworth Getchell, which unfortunately wasn’t at this year’s Madera Air Show. As a consolation prize however was this sibling, done up in olive drab instead of seafoam and with a four bladed propeller instead of five, which served in the Royal Canadian Navy.

Recipe from the PERFECT SCOOP.
This is my second basil ice cream.

I prefer my first basil ice cream which was much more flavorful. More basil-y. Maybe the farmers market basil leaves were better than the leaves from Wes’ potted plant… or maybe the first recipe I followed was a better recipe (which involved boiling and steeping the basil in cream etc.)
